Dear Friends,

I have to tell you that I have been in a lot of pain lately. I have lost my favourite pencil, again. Many of you may recall that I lost my favourite pencil a year or two ago, and the chaos that ensured around Paris while I searched for said pencil. I looked for my pencil, and the silence told me it was not there. I asked it to come back two times and there was silence for two times. As you know I try to promote an alternative lifestyle, based on sensible tenets such as repetitive wearing of collars. My pencil's decision to disappear will be clearly be seen by conservative, pen-wielding types as a lead-based revenge against the sketches my pencil and I used to share. Right now- well- I can't even pretend to be a mess. I'm quite perfect. But, it is still distressing. I have hundreds of agents on the lookout for it, throughout Paris, right now. Perhaps I will go and take pictures of naked young men- that always cheers me up. Brad? No- wait- what's your name? You know, the new one. Italian, I think.

Pe 8 iulie Innova store a gazduit evenimentul de prezentare a colectiei LOVE THE PUNK, primavara-vara 2011 semnata Florin Dobre. Din colectia anterioara denumita "Debut", a fost pastrat nonconformismul britanic, insa de data aceasta cu elemente din perioada punk.
Show-ul a fost bazat pe o imbinare perfecta intre clasic si punk, eleganta, extravaganta, si imaginea adolescentului rebel. Se pare ca hainele create de designerul roman, sunt menite pentru a veni in implinirea celui care le poarta, intregindu-i personalitatea.
Machiajul a fost unul demn de caracterul modelelor care au prezentat, unul dur cu scopul de a veni in completarea hainelor.
Culorile folosite au fost unele de vara, relaxante precum albastru, roz, rozu, lila, argintiu.
Piesa de rezistenta a colectiei a fost pantalonul care a fost asortat cu o camasa, o bluza sau un sacou. Tinutele sunt intregite cu un model perfect de pantof care se face usor remarcat datorita culorii- argintiu, rosu, roz.
Rezultatul a fost un mix intre clasic si “fashion” ce defineste silueta masculina.

The Marie Claire accessories department is looking for great interns to work with shoes, bags and jewelry for the Fall 2010 semester (immediately through May).

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to 3 to 5 full days a week. You must also be enrolled in school and eligible for credit. The internship is unpaid.

Interns will be assisting the accessories team in the fashion closet, working with all accessories including fine jewelry. Responsibilities include checking in and returning samples, creating story boards, organizing the fashion closet, setting up for run-through, packing/unpacking for photo shoots and handling ongoing requests as needed, doing store pulls, helping to manage schedules and any other administrative work the team will need.

Candidates must be EXTREMELY organized and able to multitask in a fast paced environment. This position requires long hours so candidates must be dedicated and highly-motivated. A good attitude, attention to detail and follow through are very important.

Tanarul designer francez a prezentat recent noua lui colectie pe care si-a pus amprenta intr-un mod prorpiu. Funda. Cu totii stim ca asta este marea obsesie a designerului, totul a inceput ca o joaca, dar acum fundele sunt prezente in fiecare colectie intr-un numar foarte mare. Ele de obicei sunt atat de mici incat nici nu se observa.
Alexis imbina partea feminina cu cea masculina intr-un mod cat se poate de original. Iar daca fundele pot fi considerate partea sensibila a colectiilor, atunci papioanele sunt reprezentantele sexului puternic. Se spune chiar ca cele mai frumoase papioane din lume ii apartin lui Alexis Mabille.

El isi pregateste tinutele pentru show, iar cu o saptamana inainte isi pregateste partea de stil. In acelasi mod Alexis a lucrat si pentru colectia lui Houte Couture intitulata Graphic surgery. Intr-o imbinare de-a dreptul chirurgicala, designerul a alaturat blocuri mari de culori simple astlfel incat acestea sa fie urmarite foarte usor pe podium. Modelele au purtat rochii in 2 tonuri, unul inchis, altul deschis, parul vopsit in 2 culori a continuat verticalitatea blocurilor de culori, feminitate vs. masculinitate, inger si demon in acelasi timp , specific Alexis Mabille.

Fucsia, rozul, galbenul, orangeul, albastrul intens s-au imbinat cu negru pentru a amplifica dorintele designerului.

Showul s-a incheiat cu rochii lungi fluide lejere iar la sfarsit si-a facut aparitia piesa de rezistenta a colectiei: mireasa, care pt multi designeri a devenit o specie pe cale de disparitie.

O sa incep din scurt!! Imi doresc un barbat fascinant, cu care sa pot vorbi ore in sir despre orice subiect care ar putea parea banal, care sa nu fie de acord cu mine doar pentru ca sunt iubita lui, sa se enerveze cand nu sunt de aceasi parere cu el, sa faca tot posibilul sa imi arate ca el era cel care avea dreptate. Nu as putea sa stau alaturi de un barbat "cuminte", vreau pe cineva care sa imi povesteasca prin ce a trecut la prima betie cu baietii in spatele blocului, prima bataie de pe stadion, primu joint..., sa imi povesteasca despre baietii lui, despre toti tovarasii pe care ii are. Vreau pe cineva care sa ma invete in fiecare zi ceva nou, ceva la care nici nu ma gandeam, iar eu la randul meu, sa ii pot impartasi din tot ce am cules toti acesti 18 ani. Cu siguranta nu as putea sa fiu cu un barbat care nu se ingrijeste. IUBESC METROSExUALII! Asta sa fie clar! Si cand zic metrosexuali nu zic gay, zic un barbat care se preocupa de felul in care arata Nu ma refer la cei care se epileaza pe picioare, pentru ca dupa parerea mea, parul la barbati arata masculinitatea (a nu se citi "gorila"). Sa se ingrijeasca, dar fara ca eu sa stiu, fara a-mi fura mie produsele cosmetice, cand ma trezesc sa il vad deja fresh. During the Nineties, Claudia Schiffer was one of the most recognised and desired faces in business. Now, at 39, she is more in demand than ever.

Claudia is tall. Very tall. Strapping, in fact, with pin-thin legs that really do seem to go all the way up to her armpits. And she is, above all, disarmingly beautiful. Aged 39, and after two babies, her body -all 90-60-90 of it- packs a punch. "It's Pilates", she insists. "Do you do it? You have to. It's the first time that I have every seen my body change." She is perhaps the thinnest she has ever been; those once-soft, enviable curves have transformed into taut, strong angles. In short, her body is a product of out-and-out discipline. "I have always worked out, and I've gone through different phases of yoga, but the combination of Pilates three days a week with yoga is incredible" . No kidding.
Born into a wealthy family - her father was a lawyer in Rheinberg, Germany-the gangly 17-year-old Claudia was discovered in a disco in Dusseldorf. "I didn't consider myself to be beautiful. I wasn't one of the popular, pretty girls in school. After I was discovered, and ddid the test shots, I was sure that they would realise they had made a mistake and send me back."
She moved in Paris and, although French was her best subject at school, she spent the first few weeks not understanding a word and speaking to no one. "I remember hoping that I wouldn't get picked for jobs. I would be seated with other girls, praying they got booked." Her prayers went unanswered.
Schiffer's meteoric rise to fame came courtesy of a lucrative Guess jeans campaign, a prestigious three-year Revlon contract worth $10 million and , as luck would have it, an industry "father figure" in the shape of Karl Lagerfeld, who convinced her to walk in Chanel's 1990 haute-couture show. "When she started, people thought she was a kind of a new Bardot." says Lagerfeld. "In fact, she was not. I have always thought she was very different from any other girl. She had, and still has, a unique eclat, as the French say."
That she was unique was made manifest as soon as she arrived for the Chanel fitting, where her womanly curves were genuinely surprising. "Catwalk models were traditionally very boyish," she recalls. "All i remember was the exasperated tailor who kept complaining, "I don't know what to do with the bust! The corset doesn't fit, nothing closes we have to open everything up again!" The press went wild because I was this new thing on the catwalk, " she adds, " and I had the craziest walk you have ever seen..."

Zilele astea, in timp ce pierdeam vremea aiurea pe Facebook, mi-am amintit de o domnisoara ce se vrea fashion. Am ramas placut impresionata cand am vazut poze de la niste petreceri care pareau foarte reusite, cu multa lume buna adunata in acelasi timp, acelasi loc sa se maimutareasca. Pana la un moment dat, am dat de o poza facuta in prestigiosul locatFratelli in care tanata duduie era pozata cu o tinuta destul de simpatica dar cu cizme de cauciuc in picioare...

Nu se cade sa porti cizme de cauciuc in club. Aceste incaltari au fost facute pentru a fii scoase din dulap doar in zilele ploioase, cand vrei sa fii sigura ca piciorusele tale nu vor face cunostinta cu apa.
Unele lucruri pur si simplu sunt facute pentru a fi purtate la anumite ore si in anumite locuri. Cizmele de cauciuc se poarta in zilele ploioase, colantii de latex se poarta seara, tocurile foarte inalte, la fel seara la o petrecere, balerinii ziua. Nu poti purta rainy boots in club la fel cum nu poti purta trening Total 90 cu jampiere si tenisi in mall la cumparaturi.
